Duke of Edinburgh – Halkyn Castle

Yesterday, our DofE pupils went to Halkyn Castle Woods to meet with the DofE pupils from Maple Grove School, whom we are attending the DofE May expedition with.

This gave both staff and students a low pressured environment to get to know each other before the expedition.

We enjoyed time in the forest, making spaghetti bolognese for lunch with s’mores for pudding. We also practiced putting up our tents, played football, and even played a game of uno! At the end of the day, we relaxed in the hammocks and all agreed that this was our favourite bit!
