National Apple Day – 21st October 2025

To celebrate the day, pupils have been making baked apples in the fire during their Outdoor Education sessions.

This session helped pupils develop practical life skills for starting a contained fire as well as preparing cooking food safely. Additionally, pupils understand hygiene and had the opportunity to manage appropriate risks responsibly when working near fire. This supports the Four Purposes of the Welsh Curriculum of becoming healthy, confident individuals who can manage risk and make informed choices by encouraging independence, confidence, and responsibility.
